Good To Know

Each year, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) issues awards to recognize individuals and businesses that inspire, defend and innovate in the homebrewing industry. Nominations are now open for the annual Homebrew Shop of the Year and Member Deal of the Year awards. AHA members can submit a nomination in the forms below by 11:59 pm MT on May 2. Award winners will be announced at the National Homebrew Competition awards ceremony on June 28 in Kansas City, Mo.

Homebrew Shop of the Year, Presented by RahrBSG

Beyond their role as a supplier of homebrewing equipment and ingredients, homebrew shops are advocates for homebrewing and play a key role in innovation and expansion of the craft. The Homebrew Shop of the Year award, presented by RahrBSG, celebrates these contributions, allowing AHA members to show their appreciation for the shop that supports and inspires their homebrewing.

The AHA founding board of directors will review all nominations and select the winner. Thanks to this year’s sponsor, RahrBSG, one person who nominates the winning shop will receive a $1,000 gift card*.

*Multiple people can nominate the winning shop. The gift card winner will be randomly selected from the nominations for the winning shop.

Member Deal of the Year

Member Deals are among the AHA’s most popular member benefits. From brewpubs and taprooms to homebrew shops and brewing education programs, AHA members get discounts at more than 1,800 locations nationwide, both in person and online. Show your favorite Member Deal some love and nominate them!

The AHA will compile all votes and identify the winning business based on total nomination numbers.
