Homemade Apple Grinder and Press – DIY Apple Cider!

Home Brew Cider
Our friends and neighbors, David and Barbara, invited us and another neighbor over to their backyard to observe the process of grinding and pressing apples, picked from their apple trees, into juice. David, a highly-skilled woodcarver, designed and constructed both the apple grinder and press out of oak wood. It was a fun and delicious experience! Dave offered to grind and press the apples on one of our apple trees once they are fully ripe and ready! What a fantastic way to make use of a large number of apples, instead of letting them fall to the ground and rot like many people do. Thank you, Dave and Barbara, for sharing this wonderful homegrown organic food solution!
