The Festival range of premium beer kits tend to be a little bit pricey but they do take kit brewing up another notch 👍. All of the Festival kits that I have brewed (and I have brewed quite a substantial number of them 😉) have all contained an dry addition of some kind for after fermentation has almost completed. This does depend on the beer style but is usually in the form of a dry hop addition. The down side is that the hops come in the form of pellets, which for the average home brewer are a right pain in the arse 🤬. Just lobbing them into the fermentor and then using the supplied hop bag as a sieve (as per the instructions) is just asking for a stuck syphon (been there, done that 🤬). A large weighted hop bag is better but still use the supplied hop bag as an extra filter on the final transfer. This still adds at least half an hour onto the brew “day” (hour 🤣) as the washing of the hop bag is very labour intensive, but the extra hop aromas and flavours do make for a better beer 👍. Of course you could buy a cheaper kit and some hops and do similar 😉.
You can find me on Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/schnuz.nauzer.3 , but you will need to be patient as I don’t get on too well with Facebook. It may be a good idea to post a comment on a recent YouTube video of mine to give me a nudge in the right direction .
Many thanks to James of BlackMamba who has very kindly given me permission to add the music from their CD “Alive N’ Violent” as a backing track to my videos. They are a Preston based heavy metal group and their music is pretty awesome. In my opinion similar in style and quality to Maiden and The Almighty among others. Great to listen to and original music and lyrics, Check them out:
