British Beer Experts Try an Experimental American IPA | Midwestern IPA | The Craft Beer Channel

Beer Kit
We brewed an experimental American IPA using hop aroma oil as well as a thiol boosting enzyme. Then we took it all the way to England for a transatlantic taste test.
The idea was to make a “Midwestern” IPA, which exists in the sense that commercial breweries produce beers with this title. However, a “Midwest IPA” isn’t listed as an official style in either the BJCP or Brewers Association style guidelines. As such, this recipe is based on commercial versions of the style and written (theoretical) descriptions of the style, but also includes some extras that we threw in, as mentioned above.
Thanks to Jonny and Brad from the Craft Beer Channel for participating in this experiment and offering their opinion.
