Brew Day – English Bitter Kit with Mini-Mash (intermediate)

Beer Kit
You know how home brew tastes like home brew? That is, you know how kit and extract brews have that unmistakable “twang” that betrays their origin? Well after a couple of really nice kit and extract brews with a lot of extra grains I thought to just replace all the un-hopped extract with a mini mash. Turns out it’s a good, quick way to make a decent tasting drop, as long as you don’t stuff the whole thing up …

Recipe:

1.7kg Coopers English Bitter Kit
1.5kg Ale malt (1.8kg second time ’round)
Kit yeast (Kveik second time ’round)
23L

That’s it!

Stay tuned for the tasting video!
