You will need:
12 just ripe bananas
1 x Belgian Pale Ale beer kit
About 40 x 500ml plastic bottles
2 x 30L Fermentation Buckets with lids and bubble airlocks
Pectolase
Large plastic spoon/paddle
Steriliser
No rinse steriliser for the bottles
syphon hose
Straining bag
Step 1; Peel and cut 12 ripe bananas. Put into a saucepan and simmer for 30minutes with 1L water.
Step 2; Mash the bananas and put into a sterilised fermentation bucket. Follow instructions from beer making kit and add to bananas.
Step 3; Top up with cold bottled water to 23L mark. Add Pectolase and yeast and stir.
Step 4; place on lid with air lock. Leave for 5 days.
Step 5; After 5 days add yeast pellets if these came with your kit. Put lid back on and leave for another 2 days until the airlock stops bubbling.
Step 6; transfer all the liquid to another clean bucket but use the straining bag to prevent lumps and sediment being transferred.
Step 7; Leave for 2 days to clear. You can use finings at this point too.
Step 8; Transfer to a clean bucket leaving sediment behind. Add priming sugar and mix.
Step 9; Sterilise about 40 bottles and lids with no rinse cleaner.
Step10; Fill all the bottles and put on the lids. Leave for 2 weeks to clear and carbonate.
leave for about 3 months for a better tasting beer.
Somehow I deleted step 4 and the video went missing. My spelling is also terrible.
